Former South African batsman AB de Villiers said that Virat Kohli, his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate, can be relied on more than him, while one has to play a 15-over-match.

We all know Virat Kohli-AB de Villiers partnership (on and off the field) is uncanny and tremendous to watch. Even though the Royal Challengers might be facing some challenges in climbing the IPL table, it is the duo whose partnership and passion for the sport is a delight to watch.
In a recent interview with Harsh Bhogle, de Villiers expressed his views on different bowlers. He personally likes to bring his attack game forward a littler earlier, and added, “I am earlier to the trigger. I want the bowlers to feel early on that it will be trouble if I’m allowed to bat for five overs.”
Speaking about how he and Kohli make a great combination, he said, “Virat is a more reliable batsman. He’s the one you want to bat for 15 overs. I am better in a way I could change the game quicker, have an injection that could swing the game. So together we are a nice combo.”

De Villiers and Kohli happen to share the highest partnership in the Indian Premier League (IPL) of 229 and 215* against Gujarat Lions (GL) and four times champions Mumbai Indians (MI) respectively. Why are we not surprised!
Kohli is also the highest run-scorer in the franchise across all 12 seasons, with a total of 5412 runs, all wile representing RCB. Meanwhile, De Villiers managed to score a decent amass of 4395 runs from 153 IPL matches at an average of 39.95.
While the Indian skipper claims to have picked up some tricks and tactics from the South African maestro, the latter says he has also learnt some techniques from the former on playing spin.
The duo is surely fond of each other and so are we, of their partnership. Which is your favourite AB de Villiers-Virat Kohli innings? Mention in the comments below.
