Maratha Arabians on Wednesday signed the experienced Indian spinner Pravin Tambe for the upcoming season of Abu Dhabi T10 League. The 49-year-old has previously played for the Sindhis in the 2018 season of the ICC officiated tournament.
Tambe is one of the longest-playing Indian domestic spinners and adept in taking down the opposition batsmen with his leg-spin. During his stint with Sindhis, he picked 8 wickets in four matches and at an economy rate of 9.30.
He also became the first player to take a hattrick in the T10 cricket during his time with Sindhis also picked his best bowling figure of 5/15. Besides, he has a vast experience of playing in the shortest format, mainly due to his stint with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.
He was also picked by the Gujarat Lions after the ban was imposed on Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for two seasons.
Tambe was picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017 for his base price but didn’t play a single game for them before getting acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2020.
Tribango Knight Riders picked him for the 2020 season of the Caribbean Premier League, making him the first Indian player to bag the CPL contract.
