Qalandars franchise on Tuesday confirmed signing the England batsman Tom Banton for the upcoming season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The 22-year-old will extend his stay with the club after a productive last season with them.
Banton had pulled out of the ongoing Big Bash League after prioritizing playing for England team unfortunately, he was not picked for the white-ball series against South Africa.
The official Twitter handle of the T10 league confirmed the news of Banton’s retention by the Qalandars posting, “BANTON RETAINED”

Last season, Banton had wreaked havoc in the league by smacking 80 runs off just 28 balls for the Qalandars after a successful season in the Vitality T20 Blast.
Qalandars had also signed Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi for the third edition of the T10 League but the PCB had refused to issues NOC to the players. However, this year they were able to rope him for this season slated to begin January 28.
This season will also see the debut of a new team Pune Devils owned by the Alpha Sports, featuring the likes of Thisara Perera and Mohammad Amir.
