West-Indies swashbuckling opener Chris Gayle has expressed his excitement ahead of the upcoming fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
Looking forward to the tournament, the Jamaican southpaw said, “We are all very excited that the competition is just 5 days away. Can’t wait to hit some big shots in the Abu Dhabi T10. Classic cricket entertainment is definitely on the cards this season.”
Gayle is making his comeback in the league after a gap of two seasons. Gayle will be representing Team Abu Dhabi.
Gayle said on his comeback earlier this, “The first time I played T10 it was really exciting, fun and swashbuckling. I really liked it because it was just powerhouse hitting from ball one, and all the guys enjoyed it. We had a good time as well, so like I said, being back and playing in Abu Dhabi now, it is a better wicket to bat on now, so more runs can be scored. I think that happened last year as well in Abu Dhabi – the scoring percentage rate is certainly higher now, so it’s good luck to the bowlers.”
The Abu Dhabi T10 tournament gets underway on January 28 at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi and will continue till February 6.
