The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced India’s schedule for the T20 and ODI series against England. For the first T20I for the three-match series, India has given rest to the players who will be playing the upcoming fifth Test against England.
The team which played the two-match T20 series against Ireland has been selected for the first T20I. The only addition is the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma. He hasn’t recovered from Covid-19 yet and thus has been ruled out of the fifth Test match.
For the next T20 internationals, senior players such as Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, etc. have been called back. The likes of Ishan Kishan, Avesh Khan, and Deepak Hooda have also retained their spots in the squad. As for the middle-order, the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Dinesh Karthik, and Rishabh Pant will be the ones to watch out for.

Indian squad for 2nd & 3rd T20I vs England:
Rohit (C), Ishan, Kohli, Surya, Hooda, Shreyas, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Pant (wk), Hardik, Jadeja, Chahal, Axar, Bishnoi, Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh, Harshal, Umran.
After the T20 internationals, India will be playing 3 ODIs against England. Veteran batter, Shikhar Dhawan retained his place in the ODI squad, while Arshdeep Singh has received his maiden India call-up in the ODI format.
