Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the IPL 2020 following his hip injury. The medium-pacer left the field during the last game against the Chennai Super Kings on Friday. SRH won the match by match by 7 runs but his injury has come as the second blow for the side.
Earlier, Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of the IPL 2020 following the injury in his right ankle. The Australian pacer left the UAE and returned to Australia for rehabilitation.
The SRH team management confirmed Bhuvneshwar’s absence from the entire league as one of the spokesperson said, “Bhuvi will not be able to take further part in this year’s tournament as he has been ruled out with a hip injury. A big blow for sure as he is someone who leads the bowling unit and is also an integral part of the leadership group on the ground.”
Khaleel Ahmed completed the rest of the over after Bhuvneshwar left the field limping in the 19th over of CSK’s batting.
Later, skipper David Warner spoke about Bhuvneshwar’s injury by saying, “I am not too sure, have to speak to the physio, can answer this ques when we have more information,”
Sunrisers Hyderabad will now face Kings XI Punjab in their upcoming match of the season in Dubai on September 8.
