Birmingham Phoenix vs Northern Superchargers: The 19th match of The Hundred 2022 will have Birmingham Phoenix take on Northern Superchargers on Friday at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. Birmingham Phoenix is currently sitting third on the points table, having won three matches out of four.

They are coming into the game on the back of three consecutive wins. In their last game, the Phoenix beat Trent Rockets by 7 wickets. The former restricted Rockets to 145 runs in the first innings. Howell was the pick of the bowlers, picking 3 wickets for 28 runs in 10 overs.

In reply, Birmingham chased down the score in 86 balls. Skipper Moeen Ali led the way with the bat, scoring 52 runs in just 28 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six. He received valuable support from Liam Livingstone, who smashed 51 runs in 32 balls and stayed unbeaten throughout the innings.

Ahead of the next game, Moeen Ali and Co. would be looking to continue the winning momentum. On the other hand, Northern Superchargers have not won a single game in their last three encounters. Barring their win in the first game, there haven’t been too many moments of happiness in the camp.

London Spirits thrashed them by 7 wickets in their last match. Riding on a stellar 56-run knock-off 35 balls, from Du Plessis, the Superchargers managed to pile on 143 runs in 100 balls in the first innings. However, London Spirits chased down the score pretty easily in just 44 balls. Adam Rossington set the tone with a 25-ball 66, while Maxwell smacked 43 in 25 balls.

The Superchargers have a pretty good bowling unit but haven’t come to the party yet. It will be interesting to see if they could turn their fortunes around.
