Hyderabad police Friday filed a case against the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) on Friday following a stampede outside the Hyderabad cricket stadium on September 22.

Following the incident, Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) finds its name in at least three complaints i.e., Sections 420, 337, and 21/76 of the City Police Act have been used for bookcases.

During the stampede at Gymkhana grounds least, four people were hurt leading to a ruckus in the media. The incident took place after many cricket fans lined up to buy tickets for the third T20I match between India and Australia.

The third and final T20I will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on September 25. India lost the 1st T20I by 4 wickets at the Mohali cricket ground.

While the fans were waiting in queues for buying tickets things quickly spiralled out of hand and the crowd got out of control. One thing led to another and that’s how the stampede took place in which a large number of enthused spectators interfered with law and order. To regain control of the crowd, Police had to resort to lathi charges of the crowd gathered in the place.

Australia currently leads the two teams’ series 1-0 after their victory in Mohali on Tuesday. After being given the opportunity to bat first by Australia, India had a disappointing start after having lost Rohit Sharma (11), and Virat Kohli (2) cheaply.

The finishing explosives were carried out by Hardik Pandya who blasted magnificent 71* runs off just 30 balls. His innings were laced with seven fours and five sixes & helped the side brim to 208/6. The top picks among Australian bowlers were Nathan Ellis (3/30) and Josh Hazlewood (2/39).

In their quest, Australia got off to an aggressive start with a quickfire 39-run partnership between openers Aaron Finch (22) and Cameron Green. Green and Steve Smith put together a 70-run stand with some truly stunning shots (35).

Cameron Green scored 61 runs off 30 balls before departing to the Pavillion. Later on, much of the heavy lifting was done by the wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade (45*) and debutant Tim David (18). The duo put together a 62-run stand to help the Aussies win by four wickets in 19.2 overs.
