Former Indian Opener and Bharatiya Janta Party politician, Chetan Chauhan, has tested positive for Covid-19, as per the reports. Chauhan, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, represented Indian cricket team in 40 Test-matches and seven one-day internationals.

Chetan Chauhan, known for his opening partnership with the legendary Sunil Gavaskar, has scored 2084 runs in the long-form of the sport but never managed to score a hundred. He scored 16 half-centuries and had a highest Test score of 97 runs.
Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra, who is quite active on social media platforms, took to Twitter to confirm the news. “Chetan Chauhan ji is also tested positive for #COVIDー19. Sending best wishes in his direction too…get well soon, sir. Tough night this one…Big B and Chetan Ji,” Chopra wrote on Twitter.

Apart from being highly involved in politics, the former batsman is also active in cricket administration and has been associated with Delhi and Delhi District Cricket Association in the past.
