Guyana Warriors skipper Chris Green on Tuesday equalled the record for the most economical spell by an Australian bowler in T20 cricket. It was during a game against Barbados Tridents where Chris orchestrated his record bowling figure.

The Big Bash League star Green only conceded 3 runs in his spell of four overs and also bowled two maiden overs and one wicket on his name.

The 26-year-old off-spinner trapped Justin Greaves on course to creating his personal record in the T20 cricket. He equalled Mitchell Johnson’s record of 3-3 in four overs for the Perth Scorchers during BBL season 6.

In 2018, Mohammad Irfan had registered the vivid bowling figures 1-2 for the Barbados Tridents. That is overall the best figure in the history of T20 cricket.

Guyana Warriors went on to win the game by 8 wickets in the end as Naveen Ul Haq finished with 4/14 in his spell during the game.

Guyana restricted the Barbados Tridents on 92 runs and easily chased down the target of 93 runs as Brandon King scored 51 runs off 49 balls.

After the win. Guyana is now third in the CPL standings with four wins implying eight points from eight matches so far.

On the other hand, Barbados Tridents lost their six matches of the season with just four points in the CPL 2020.
