The schedule of the eighth season of Caribbean Premier League 2020 has been announced. The league will get rolling on 18th August and will be played till 10th September 2020. The T20 tournament, which would be a 33-match season, will be staged across two stadiums in Trinidad & Tobago. The six franchises will be playing 23 matches in the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, and rest of the 10 matches in the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

The safety of all the players and staff involved in the tournament will be taken care of well. Taking all the precautionary measures against COVID-19 pandemic, the matches will be played in a bio-secure environment.

The Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors will face each other in the opening match of the season in the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, while the previous season’s champions Barbados Tridents will play their debut match of the season against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

Enthusiastic about the upcoming season and more well-prepared than ever as per his claims, Damien O’Donohoe, the Hero CPL’s CEO said, “This year will be a different CPL, but the standard will be higher than ever.
