Trinbago Knight Riders didn’t get the start as they would have liked. Lendl Simmons and Tion Webster struggled to time the ball too well on a two-paced wicket. Simmons scored 25 off 30 balls, while Webster amassed 18 off 17 balls. Colin Munro too couldn’t play his natural game with the opposition bowling slower deliveries and cutters to good effect. Kieron Pollard came at number four but couldn’t do much as he got out after score 9 off 11 balls.
Tim Siefert came at number five and changed the complexion of the game in the matter of a couple of overs. He smashed two fours and two sixes to Keemo Paul in the 19th over getting everyone on their seats. With 14 needed in the last over, Wahab Riaz ensured Siefert couldn’t replicate the similar heroics in the last over as St. Lucia Kings won the game by 5 runs.
