GT vs RCB IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans registered their 8th win after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets on Saturday at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. RCB won the toss and opted to bat first. Skipper, Faf du Plessis, once again, got out early, however, Virat Kohli returned to form with a brilliant half-century. Despite losing the game, Virat Kohli’s return to form should be a big positive for the team. He scored a 58-run knock in 53 balls, including 6 fours and 1 six. He received valuable support from Rajat Patidar, who looked to be aggressive right from the onset of his innings.
He managed to score a vital 52-run knock in just 32 balls, a knock which was studded with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Glenn Maxwell (33 off 18) and Lomror (16 off 8), later, played crucial cameos to take the team to a formidable score of 170 runs at the end of the first innings.
For Gujarat, Pradeep Sangwan was the pick of the bowlers. He returned with bowling figures of 2 for 19 in 4 overs.
In pursuit of the score, Gujarat Titans chased down the score in 19.3 overs. Saha and Gill gave the team a decent start. The duo added 51 runs for the first wicket before Saha got out off Hasaranga in the 8th over.
Gill got out in the very next over after scoring 31 runs in 28 balls. However, the likes of Hardik Pandya and Sai Sudharsan got out cheaply to leave the team in trouble at 95 for 4. However, once again, it was Rahul Tewatia who took the team home with an outstanding knock.
He played an unbeaten knock of 43 runs in 25 balls, including 5 fours and 2 sixes. He also received great support from David Miller, who too remained unbeaten on 39 off 24 balls. As a result of those contributions, Gujarat chased down the score in 19.3 overs.
