Ashmead Nedd will join Royal Challenger Bangalore as a net bowler. The Guyanese all-rounder will get hugely benefited from the very experienced players and staff of RCB, especially under the guidance of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis. Ashmead bowls left-arm orthodox and bats down the order. RCB camp contains the likes of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Wanidu Hasaranga.
He also discussed how playing as a spinner in India could help him improve his game, adding: “Going there as a spinner could help me with my game.”
“I’d like to ask some basic questions regarding their professional routine and how I may improve my game as a child in the future.”
RCB is having a very good season till now. The south India-based franchise has won 3 games out of 5 and is placed fifth in the points table. Although they would want to fix their place in the top 4 and make it to the playoffs to secure their maiden win. RCB lost the services of Harshal Patel due to a family emergency. Harshal’s sister passed away and he has the eft the bubble now.
Ashmead has also represented the Guyana franchise in the Caribbean premier league and has experience in the U-19 World cup. Since his debut in the Under 19 World Cup in 2018, when he was only 17 years old, Ashmead has been steadily improving.
He played five matches in the competition, with four maidens leading the West Indies team. Nedd then returned to regional youth events to hone his skills, knowing that having the opportunity to compete in a world tournament at such a young age could only be beneficial.
