CSK vs PBKS Live Score: After suffering two consecutive defeats, Punjab Kings came back to winning ways on Monday after beating Chennai Super Kings by 11 runs. On a slow pitch, Punjab batted brilliantly to post 187 runs in the first innings. Mayank Agarwal, sadly, couldn’t play a big knock but Shikhar Dhawan, once again, made the team realize his importance in the batting unit.

On his return to the side, the in-form Sri Lankan batter played a stellar knock of 42 runs in 32 balls, a knock which was laced with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Thanks to those two contributions, Punjab Kings notched a formidable score of 187 runs at the end of the first innings.
For CSK, DJ Bravo picked 2 wickets but conceded 42 runs in 4 overs. Besides, the likes of M Chaudhary (0 for 36) and M Theekshana (1 for 32) also made expensive returns. In reply, Chennai lost Robin Uthappa, Mitchell Santner, and Shivam Dube cheaply to leave the team in trouble at 40 for 3.
Ruturaj Gaikwad tried to say a bit longer and managed to score 30 runs in 27 balls. However, he couldn’t convert that start into a big score. However, the one who stole the show was Ambati Rayudu. The Chennai batsman wreaked havoc with the bat as he struck 78 runs in 39 balls. His knock had 7 fours and 6 sixes.
He, almost, took the game out of Punjab’s hands. However, Rayudu, unfortunately, got out of Kagiso Rabada on the last ball of the 18th over and it affected the scoring rate. Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly in the 19th over. MS Dhoni ignited some hope with a six at the start of the last over. However, he too got out and CSK, in the end, fell 11 runs short of the target.
