DC vs PBKS 2022: The 32nd match of the Indian Premier League 2022 is slated to be played between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings at Brabourne Stadium on Tuesday. Earlier, the match was scheduled to be played in Pune.
However, following a covid-19 outbreak in the Delhi camp, the match has now been shifted to Mumbai. Delhi Capitals haven’t made the best of starts in the tournament and Mitchell Marsh has been tested positive for the virus. This is a big blow for them. Delhi has only managed to win 2 games out of five so far and needs to get back on track as early as possible.
The opening duo of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner is in fine form and this should inspire some confidence. Delhi would be wanting them to, once again, exhibit a stellar start with the bat. Rishabh Pant too is in great form but he hasn’t been converting the starts into big scores. In the absence of Marsh, Sarfaraz Khan is likely to bat at number three, while Rovman Powell would be looking to return to form as well.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings too have had a topsy-turvy campaign so far. In six matches, they have managed to win three and are sitting just above Delhi. Mayank Agarwal’s unavailability affected them badly in the last game, while Dhawan hasn’t been consistent this season. Jonny Bairstow is yet to find form and only Liam Livingstone is scoring the bulk of the runs. Punjab hasn’t batted to their potential. To win the next game, the other batsmen need to step up.
On the bowling front, Rahul Chahar and Kagiso Rabada will continue to be their biggest bets.
