DC vs SRH Live Score: Delhi Capitals returned to winning ways after registering a 21-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at Brabourne Stadium on Thursday. After being sent to bat first, Delhi didn’t make an ideal start with the bat as the likes of Mandeep Singh (0) and Marsh (10) departed early.
Warner and Pant then led the recovery as the duo added 48 run-partnership for the third wicket. Rishabh Pant, once again, looked good and smashed 22 runs in 4 balls off Shreyas Gopal but got out on the last ball of the same over. Warner, however, was in no mood to get out and he then stitched an unbeaten partnership to take the team to a mammoth score of 207 runs at the end of the first innings.
Warner played an unbeaten sensational knock of 92 runs in 58 balls, while Rovman Powell smashed 67 runs in just 35 deliveries. In pursuit of that score, SRH lost their first two wickets for just 24 runs.
Abhishek Sharma got out after scoring 7 runs in 6 balls, while Williamson’s (4 off 11) batting woes continued. Rahul Tripathi (22 off 18) failed to convert a start into a big score as SRH found themselves in trouble at 37 for 3.
Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran then looked to rebuild and added 60 runs for the fourth wicket. However, the former, unfortunately, got out after scoring 42 runs in 25 balls. Nicholas Pooran, though, kept the hopes alive with a sensational knock of 62 runs in 34 balls, including 2 fours and 6 sixes. But, once he got out in the 18th over, it was all but over for SRH. In the end, Kane Williamson and Co. fell 21 runs short of the target.
