Delhi Capitals full squad IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals fared pretty well at the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions. They bought as many as 19 players at the auctions and built a strong core for the upcoming edition of the tournament. Prior to the start of the auctions, they had the available purse of INR 47.50 Crores. They had already invested more than 30 crores in their four retained players.
Delhi Capitals managed to build a strong top-four. The franchise managed to buy the services of David Warner for a bargain price of INR 6.25 crores. He will open the batting with Prithvi Shaw this year. The franchise then invested in Mitchell Marsh to further strengthen the top-order. He was bought for an amount of 6.50 crores.
Besides, Delhi Capitals also managed to buy the likes of Shardul Thakur (INR 10.75 Crore), Mustafizur Rahman (INR 2 Crore), Kuldeep Yadav (INR 2 Crore) among others. Rovman Powell, who turned heads during the recent T20 series between West Indies and England, has also been bought for INR 2.8 crores.
Rishabh Pant led the side last year and will continue to lead the team this year as well. The other three retentions for the upcoming edition of the tournament are Prithvi Shaw, Anrich Nortje, and Axar Patel.
