GT vs LSG Live Score: Gujarat Titans became the first side to seal their playoffs spot after they beat Lucknow Super Giants by 62 runs on Tuesday at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
After setting a target of a below-par score of 144 runs, Gujarat Titans bowled exceedingly well to bundle out Lucknow Super Giants for just 82 runs.
Lucknow never looked like in the chase during their innings. The first wicket fell in the form of Quinton de Kock in the 4th over and wickets kept falling at regular intervals, thereafter. Shami got the important wicket of KL Rahul in the 5th over. The likes of Karan Sharma (4 runs off 4 balls), Krunal Pandya (5 runs off 5balls), and Ayush Badoni (8 off 11) all failed to hit the straps. In the end, they were bowled out for a paltry score of 82 runs.
Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers for Gujarat as he picked 4 for 24 in 3.5 overs. Making his debut, Sai Kishore impressed one and all, returning with figures of 2 for 7 in 2 overs. Earlier, Gujarat Titans managed to score 144 runs in the first innings. The likes of W Saha, Hardik Pandya, and Wade failed with the bat but Shubman Gill held firm at one end.
He kept the scoreboard ticking with regular boundaries and stayed right till the end of the innings. Gill played an unbeaten knock of 63 runs in 49 balls. Miller gave him decent support with a knock of 26 runs in 24 balls.
Not to forget a brilliant unbeaten cameo from Rahul Tewatia, who managed to score 22 runs in 16 balls. In the end, it prove more than enough as they bowled beautifully in the second innings.
