IPL 2022: Another injury has been inflicted on the Chennai Super Kings. After suffering an ankle injury, all-rounder Moeen Ali is expected to miss at least three to four games. The injury occurred during training prior to the Punjab Kings encounter.
After injuring his ankle during a training session, Moeen Ali had to undergo scans. CSK is awaiting scan results to determine the degree of the injury.
Moeen Ali is set to be out for at least a week, including the match between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday. However, depending on the severity of the injury, he could be out for a longer period of time.
After arriving late owing to a visa difficulty, Moeen Ali has been off-color in the IPL 2022. For the match against the Mumbai Indians, he was left out of the starting XI. In his absence, Mitchell Santner, who replaced him in the MI Playing XI, is expected to continue.
Although CSK has like for like replacement. Mitchell Santner, a spinning allrounder will replace Moen in the playing 11. Mitchell Santner who is from New Zealand is a left-arm orthodox bowler and also is a handy batsman.
CSK is having a disaster of a season and has now 3 injured players in the squad. And one player was out for personal reasons. CSK would hope to win the remaining matches and move up the table. Currently, they are placed at 9th place with only 2 wins in 7 matches.
