CSK vs PBKS: The 11th match of the IPL 2022 will have Chennai Super Kings take on Punjab Kings at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings have made the worst possible start. They began their campaign with a 6-wicket defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders.
It was then followed by another defeat against Lucknow Super Giants. They put in an improved batting performance against Lucknow. A collective batting effort helped them post a mammoth score of 210 runs in the first innings. However, despite that, Kolkata Knight Riders chased down the score in 19.3 overs.
Dwayne Bravo and Dwaine Pretorius looked a bit threatening with the ball. But other than that, CSK lacked application with the ball. It will be interesting to see what changes they make in the next game.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings are coming into the game on the back of a 6-wicket defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders. They won the first game but couldn’t continue the winning momentum. Punjab Kings put in a dismal batting performance in the last game and were bowled out for just 137 runs in the first innings against Kolkata. B Rajapaksa top-scored with the bat for his 9-ball 31.
Kolkata Knight Riders, in reply, chased down the score quite easily in 14.3 overs. For Punjab, Rahul Chahar bowled brilliantly for his 2 for 13 in 4 overs. However, the other bowlers couldn’t make a similar impact. Heading into the next game, Punjab Kings would be looking to get back to winning ways.
