According to Insidesports, IPL 2022 Playoffs and Finals are slated to be played in Ahmedabad & Kolkata. Besides, the Qualifier 1 match and the Eliminator game will be hosted at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, while the Qualifier 2 is slated to be played in Ahmedabad. Having said that, nothing has been confirmed yet.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will make an official announcement soon. It has been understood that the IPL Governing Council meeting will be held in the next few days. Interestingly, a proposal has been sent to BCCI for hosting one of the playoffs games in Lucknow. It will be interesting to see whether the governing body will give the nod or not. Though, it’s highly unlikely that it will accept the proposal.
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings earned their first win in the IPL 2022 after beating Royal Challenger Bangalore by 23 runs on Tuesday. Mumbai Indians, now, are the only team who haven’t won a single game in IPL 2022 so far.
Talking about the game between CSK and MI, the former batted first and managed to notch a huge score of 216 runs on the board in the first innings. Shivam Dube starred with the bat as he played a sensational knock of 95 runs in 46 balls. Robin Uthappa was played equally well, amassing 88 runs in 50 deliveries.
In reply, RCB fell 23 runs short of the target. Theekshana ran through RCB’s batting unit, picking four wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. As of now, Rajasthan Royals are currently sitting at the top of the points table, winning three matches out of four, followed by KKR and Lucknow in second and third position respectively.
