KKR vs RR 2022: The 47th match of the Indian T20 League is scheduled to be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals on Monday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Kolkata Knight Riders:
Kolkata Knight Riders are having a tough time this season. They are coming into this game on the back of five consecutive defeats. KKR suffered a 4-wicket defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals in their last game. Kolkata Knight Riders batted first in that encounter and managed to score only 146 runs in the first innings. Shreyas Iyer scored a valuable 42 runs in 37 balls but couldn’t convert that into a big score.
Nitish Rana also returned to form with a brilliant 57-run knock in 34 balls, while Rinku Singh made a good little cameo of 23 runs in 16 balls. However, there was little support from the other batters.
In reply, Delhi chased down the score in 19 overs. Umesh Yadav, once again, returned with outstanding figures of 3 for 24 in 4 overs. Sunil Narine also bowled beautifully for his figures of 1 for 19 in 4 overs. However, the likes of Nitish Rana, Russell, and Iyer bowled one over each and spent 42 runs combined. To keep their hopes alive for the playoffs, KKR ought to win the next game on Monday.
Rajasthan Royals:
Facing them are Rajasthan Royals, who are flying high in the tournament. They are currently sitting at number two on the points table with 6 wins in 9 matches. Rajasthan, however, lost their last game against Mumbai and would be looking to get back to winning ways.
Jos Buttler, once again, starred with the bat in the last match. However, the likes of the Sanju Samson, Padikkal also need to step up to the plate and play impactful knocks. With the ball, Chahal and Ashwin will continue to be the biggest bet for the team. Besides, Prasidh Krishna too is bowling pretty well and will be a player to watch out for.
