RCB vs SRH Live Score: Royal Challengers Bangalore registered their 7th win in the Indian T20 League 2022 after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 67 runs on Sunday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Riding on a sensational knock from Faf du Plessis, Bangalore notched a huge score of 192 runs in the first innings. Virat Kohli got out on the very first of the innings, however, Faf du Plessis played another match-winning knock with the bat.
He stitched a 105-run partnership with Rajat Patidar to set the foundation for a high score. The latter got out after scoring 48 runs in 38 balls but the skipper stayed right till the end. He played an unbeaten knock of 73 runs in 50 balls. Glenn Maxwell also made a handy contribution of 33 runs in 24 balls, while Dinesh Karthik’s 8-ball 30-run cameo took the team to a formidable score on the board.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, once again, had a forgettable outing with the ball. Suchit bowled beautifully for his spell of 2 for 30 in 4 overs. However, all the seamers went for plenty of runs.
SRH lose its skipper early on
In pursuit of the score, Kane Williamson got run-out without even facing the delivery. Abhishek Sharma also got out wicket even opening his account. Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram tried to rebuild as the duo added 50 runs for the third wicket. However, Markram was finding it hard to time the bowl well. He got out after scoring 19 runs in just 14 balls.
Nicholas Pooran also failed to convert the start into a big score. He scored 19 runs in 14 deliveries. Rahul Tripathi kept some hopes alive with a 58-run knock in 37 balls but he lacked support from the other end. His wicket in the 16th over meant it was all but over for Hyderabad.
They were eventually bowled out for just 125 runs, thereby losing the game by a huge margin. For Bangalore, it was W Hasaranga who ran through the opposition’s batting unit. He returned with bowling figures of 5 for 18 in 4 overs.
