Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Full squad IPL 2022: Sunrisers Hyderabad finished the IPL 2022 mega auctions with the acquisition of 23 players. The auction lasted for two days i.e., on February 12 & 13, saw SRH get hold of a good bunch of players, both Indian and overseas. Kane Williamson will lead the squad which is a mix of both the youngsters and experienced players. The management got back most of its old players such as Abhishek Sharma, T Natarajan, Priyam Garg, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
New bowlers Karthik Tyagi, Sean Abbott add to the bowling arsenal of the side. The all-rounders comprise Rahul Tripathi, Washington Sundar, Shreyas Gopal, Aiden Markram, and Abhishek Sharma. Wicket-keeper Nicholas Pooran was the most expensive buy for the side as they spent a whopping Rs. 10.75 Cr INR. Another West Indies bowler Romario Shepherd also became major bidding who has recently enjoyed success in the shortest format.
Not a strong batting unit:
While the management added a good lot of bowlers and all-rounders, batting remains a major concern for the side. Top-order batting lacks depth after having lost good biddings during the two-day mega auction. A possible opening combination could be Aiden Markram, alongside skipper Kane Williamson and Kolkata Knight Rider’s find Rahul Tripathi Middle-order though looks sorted with the presence of Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Washington Sundar, and Marco Jansen.
