England has named the 14-man unchanged squad for the third and the final test against Pakistan. England is already leading the series 1-0 as they go into the final Test at the Ageas Bowl.
Head Coach Chris Silverwood has said that he is open to considering other options for the third test against Pakistan. England already won the first Test by three wickets in Manchester while the second test ended on a draw due to rain.
Joe Root and his men will be hoping to put up the same performance against the visitors as the likes of James Anderson and Stuart Broad are in a scintillating form. In fact, Anderson is close to completing 600 wickets in Tests so he will surely make into the playing XI.
England’s 14-man squad:
Joe Root (captain), James Anderson, Jofra Archer, Dom Bess, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Zak Crawley, Sam Curran, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Som Sibley, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood
In addition, the ICC and ECB have agreed on going ahead with the test with the revised timings in order to make up for the poor weather. The rains have already interrupted the match timings and also forcing the draw of the second test. The teams will be hopeful of unhampered playtime during the final test starting from August 21.
