India vs South Africa 3rd T20I: India will take on South Africa in the 3rd T20 international of the five-match series on Tuesday at Vishakhapatnam. South Africa is 2-0 ahead in the series and one more win will help them take the series.
On the other hand, India has a must-win game on its hands. If they lose on Tuesday, they won’t get a chance to make a comeback, thereafter. Both batting and bowling have disappointed India. Ruturaj’s failure in both the games hasn’t helped India in getting solid starts. Skipper, Rishabh Pant is due to play a big, while Hardik Pandya failed to deliver in the last game.
Shreyas Iyer’s struggles against pacers continue to be a concern. It will be interesting if India brings Deepak Hooda into the playing XI. On the bowling front, Bhuvneshwar Kumar starred with the ball in the last match but Umran Malik could replace either Avesh Khan or Harshal Patel.
South Africa, on the other hand, is brimming with confidence. Heinrich Klaasen, singlehandedly, carried the team home in the last game. It will be difficult for South Africa to exclude him from playing XI even if Quinton de Kock is fit to play. The likes of David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen are also in top-notch form and should inspire a lot of confidence.
Miller, in fact, is yet to get out in the series. On the bowling front, the pace battery is doing a fine job and it’s unlikely they make any change in that department. Tabrez Shamsi has gone for a lot of runs but South Africa is likely to back him for the third T20I as well.
