They were competing aggressively with the Mumbai Indians for the services of the explosive Australian all-rounder Cameron Green. Nevertheless, Mumbai was victorious by placing a winning bid of INR 17.5 crore.
Delhi bought Mukesh Kumar for 5.5 crores and it was the highest they paid to acquire a player in their team.
