Former captain of West Indies, Dwayne John Bravo (DJ Bravo), has dropped a new song dedicating it to India’s Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The song is believed to be exclusively for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), in which Bravo calls Dhoni his brother from another mother.
DJ Bravo released the song ‘Number 7’ on the eve of the former Indian captain’s birthday. Apart from his astonishing all-rounder cricket skills, Bravo is also known for his rapping and singing skills.
This is the second song released by the West Indian player.
As Dhoni turns 39 on July 7 (Tuesday), the fellow CSKian released song. The number 7 is Dhoni’s jersey number. The song is all about praising the captain cool about his leadership, batting skills, and mind-blowing wicket-keeping, for both Indian and CSK.
Dhoni and Bravo have been playing for Indian Premier League representing the CSK. That’s where Bravo was intricately introduced to the former Indian skipper’s leadership and wicket-keeping skills.
Dhoni, who was last seen in action for Team India on July 10, 2019, still remains a heartthrob of the nation. While fans will have to wait for more time before Dhoni can be seen on the cricket field, Bravo paid his tribute for his dear friend, Dhoni on the eve of his 39th birthday.
In this regard, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s official Twitter handle released the song, on Monday evening (July 06), and captioned the post: “The Helicopter 7 has taken off! @DJBravo47’s tribute to #Thala @msdhoni, his brother from another mother! #HappyBirthdayDhoni #WhistlePodu”

While Dhoni’s reaction to the song will be keenly awaited, he is hardly active on social media platforms. Nonetheless, Twitter is already flooded with several positive responses to Bravo’s latest song for the Indian cricketer.
While Dhoni’s international future remains a mystery to one and all, he is sure to lead CSK in IPL 13 edition, whenever the cash-rich league takes place. Dhoni, under whom India won all ICC trophies during his captaincy tenure, has fans worldwide who still want him to continue playing for Team India in the shorter formats.
