Trinbago Knight Riders all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on Wednesday became the first bowler to take 500 wickets in T20 cricket. In a CPL match against St Lucia Zouks, Bravo dismissed Rahkeem Cornwall to complete 500 wickets.
Bravo has been in a great form with the ball in the ongoing season of the CPL, picking up at least a wicket in all the matches. Before that, Bravo had taken wickets against Guyana Amazon Warriors in the previous match.
The 36-year-old all-rounder has become one of the most valuable players due to his different variations with ball. He plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and also got the purple cap in 2013 & 2015. He also finished as the highest wicket taker in the CPL in 2015 & 2016. He also played in Bangladesh Premier League where he topped the bowlers’ list in 2016 & 2017 seasons.
Besides, he also helped his CPL team Trinbago Knight Riders win the title thrice during his presence. Bravo had taken retirement from all forms of cricket long back but marked his return in the international cricket only for playing T20Is.
This year he will join his IPL team Chennai Super Kings after the conclusion the Caribbean Premier League on September 10.
