The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Wednesday that their men’s team will travel to Sri Lanka for their Test series next month. The matches will take place in Galle in a bio-secure bubble.

The two-match Test series, which are a part of the ICC World Test Championship, is scheduled to start from 14 January. The first Test will be held between 14-18 January, while the second Test will be played between 22-26 January.

The England team will arrive in Hambantota and will undergo their quarantine period there. During the period, the team will be able to train for their upcoming matches.

The series was supposed to be held in March this year but the COVID-19 pandemic caused its postponement. So the ECB and Sri Lanka Cricket mutually agreed to reschedule the series. The competition will now be held bio-secure bubble.
