EN-L vs SL-L: The 5th match of the Road Safety World Series sees England Legends take on Sri Lanka Legends on Tuesday at Green Park stadium in Kanpur. The Sri Lanka Legends have made an outstanding start to their campaign with a 38-run win over Australia Legends. They would be looking to continue the winning momentum.

Sri Lanka posted a massive score of 218 runs in their first match against Australia. Openers Munaweera and Dilshan wreaked havoc with the bat. The duo didn’t allow any batter to get settled at the crease as they smashed runs all around the park. Munaweera scored 95 runs in 63 balls, including 10 fours and 2 sixes. He missed out on a century by just 5 runs but Dilshan went on to score 107 runs in 56 balls, including 14 fours and 4 sixes.

Ahead of the next game, you don’t expect any change to take place in the batting department. With the ball, N Kulasekara stole the show as he claimed 4 wickets for 36 runs in 4 overs. However, he took the wickets in the latter part of the innings.

The initial damage was done by de Silva and J Mendis, both of whom picked two wickets each to leave Australia at 126 for 4. In the end, Aussies were bundled out for 180 runs, thereby, falling 38 runs short.

England, on the other hand, will be playing their first match of the season. Ian Bell will lead the side this season. He will have the support of Darren Maddy, Mal Loye and Nick Compton in the batting department. As for the all-rounders, they have got the likes of Rikki Clarke and Dimitri Mascarenhas. Chris Tremlett will lead the fast bowling unit, while Chris Schofield is the lead spinner in the squad.
