ENG vs NZ World Cup 2022: In a high-octane clash, England will be taking on New Zealand on Tuesday at The Gabba in Brisbane. The two teams have occupied the top positions on the points table but a win will be important for both of them.
England Preview:
New Zealand has managed to win 2 matches in 3 games. Unfortunately, one game was abandoned due to rain. After winning against Australia, New Zealand registered a 65-run win in their last game against Sri Lanka.
New Zealand batters had a poor outing with the bat against Sri Lankan bowlers but Glenn Phillips took them out of trouble with a sensational knock of 104 runs in just 64 balls, including 10 fours and 4 sixes. His knock helped the team reach a formidable score of 167 runs in the first innings.
Later, they bundled out Sri Lanka for just 102 runs in the second innings. Boult and Southee exhibited a brilliant spell in the power play as they had the Island nation reeling at 24 for 5 in 6.1 overs. Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand, claiming 4 for 13 in 4 overs. Besides, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi picked two wickets each.
New Zealand is yet to lose a game in the tournament and they would be looking to extend the winning run. On the other hand, for England, it will be a must-win match. The defeat against Ireland is hurting them badly. They need to win the next two games and England would be looking to give their all.
England Preview:
After losing to Ireland, England’s next match against Australia was whitewashed due to rain. Skipper Jos Buttler is yet to fire, while Alex Hales hasn’t impressed either. Dawid Malan will be essential to the team’s fortune as he has been in great form with the bat. England has a pretty deep batting line-up but the players haven’t shown brightly so far.
It will be interesting to see how the batting unit fares out. With the ball, Wood has been the most impressive bowler. The pitches have suited him well and are expected to do well in the last game. Stokes has done well too but Woakes went for plenty of runs in the last game. He could be dropped in the next match.

New Zealand: Finn Allan Devon Conway, Williamson, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell, Neesham, Santner, Ish Sodhi, Southee, Boult, Ferguson
