ENG vs PAK 3rd T20I: England has again taken a lead in the series as they beat Pakistan by 63 runs in the third T20 international at National Stadium in Karachi on Friday. The visitors showed an exhibition of brutal hitting as they notched a huge score of 221 runs in the first innings.

Will Jacks gave a blistering start to the innings as he played a stellar knock of 40 runs in just 22 balls, including 8 fours.  Despite the likes of Salt and Malan struggling, Jacks ensured England scored runs at a great pace.

Usman Qadir picked the wickets of Will Jacks and Malan to leave England to 82 for 3 in 8.3 overs. Duckett then joined hands with Harry Brooks and the duo wreaked havoc with the bat. Both the batters put an exhibition of fours and sixes and didn’t allow Pakistan bowlers to dominate.

Duckett scored an unbeaten knock of 70 runs in 42 balls, while Harry Brook remained unbeaten on 81 runs in 35 balls, including 8 fours and 5 sixes. Thanks to some brutal power-hitting, England blazed their way to a mammoth 221-run total.

Pakistan’s top-order batting collapses

Pakistan needed to score runs at a great pace to chase down the total. However, they got off to a miserable start as Babar Azam (8), Haider Ali (3), Rizwan (8) and Ahmad (6) lost their wickets inside the power play. Pakistan was tottering at 28 for 4 inside the powerplay.

Shan Masood then took matters into his own hands and played right till the end. He remained unbeaten on 66 off 40 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes. However, he didn’t receive a lot of support from the other end. As a result, they were restricted to 158.

Mark Wood exhibited a stellar spell of 3 for 25 in 4 overs, while Reece Topley claimed 1 for 22 in 4 overs.
