ENG vs PAK 6th T20I: England is, once again, back in the series. After losing the fifth T20I, Mooen Ali and Co. stormed back into the series with a 9-wicket win in the 6th T20I and, thereby, levelled the series 3-3.
Pakistan’s middle order continues to disappoint, once again. The likes of Haider Ali, Masood, Asif Ali and Nawaz combined to score only 39 runs.
This didn’t help the team as they didn’t finish as well as they would have liked. Man-in-form, M Rizwan was rested while M Harris also got cheaply for just 7 runs in 8 balls.
However, Skipper Babar Azam held firm at one end and propelled the team to a competitive score of 169 runs in 20 overs.
He played an unbeaten knock of 87 runs in 59 balls, including 7 fours and 3 sixes. For England, it was, once again, a combined bowling effort. Willey and Curran scalped two each, while Topley and Gleeson picked one apiece.
In pursuit of the target, England made a rollicking start, thanks to brutal power-hitting from Salt and Hales. The duo added 55 runs for the opening wicket in just 3.5 overs. Hales looked solid for his 27 off 12 but Shadab Khan had him in the 4th over.
Malan (28 off 18) also played a handy knock but it was Salt who architected the win. He played a match-winning knock of 84 runs in 41 balls, including 13 fours and guided the team home in 14.3 overs.
With that win, the series is now levelled at 3-3. The final match is slated to be played on Sunday in Lahore.
