ENG vs WI: N Bonner’s sensational knock of 123 runs off 355 balls has helped West reach 375 runs in their first innings. West Indies began the day at 202 for 4 with Jason Holder and Bonner at the crease. Holder didn’t take a lot of time to go back to the pavilion as Stokes had him caught behind in the 71st over. Joshua Da Silva then showed some resistance and managed to score 54 runs in 119 balls.

He shared a 73-run partnership with Bonner before getting out in the 98th over as he got out leg-before off Joshua Da Silva. Roach (15 off 89) and Permaul (26 off 87) then gave great support to Bonner as the latter held firm at one end.

The 33-year old West Indies cricketer kept sending bad balls to boundary ropes and took West Indies to a great position in the match. He, eventually, got out after scoring 123 runs in 355 balls, a knock which was laced with 12 fours and 1 six.

As for England, Jack Leach and Stokes both picked two wickets each. Craig Overton also claimed two for 85, while Mark Wood and Lawrence picked one apiece. Earlier, England had scored 311 runs in the first innings, thanks to an outstanding knock from Jonny Bairstow. He managed to score 140 runs in 259 balls and took the team out of early trouble.

Jayden Sealed starred with the ball for West Indies as he picked 4 for 79. Roach, Holder, and Joseph all picked two wickets each. The match is evenly poised at the moment. It will be interesting to see how England plays in the third innings on the fourth day of the Test match.
