The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is approaching its playoff stage which is all set to begin from the next week. Yesterday, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore squared off against each other at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Mumbai Indians led by the Keiron Pollard has been at the top of the points table since the last week, owing to their terrific form.

They continued their fiery run in the tournament after clinically handing RCB the defeat by 5 wickets on Wednesday.

Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah scripted victory against Virat Kohli led side. But the match did have some striking moments especially the heated involvement between Hardik Pandya and RCB all rounder Chris Morris.

Later, both the players was found guilty of breaching the IPL’s code of conduct and reprimanded by apex body.

Morris admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct while Pandya admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.20 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct.

“Chris Morris, the Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder, has been reprimanded for breaching the Dream11 Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Mumbai Indians at Abu Dhabi,” said a statement released by the BCCI.

“Mr Morris admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. Hardik Pandya, the Mumbai Indians all-rounder, has been reprimanded for breaching the IPL’s Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Abu Dhabi.

Mr Pandya admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.20 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” the statement concluded.

It was during the 19th over when Pandya hit Morris for a six and showed some signs at him. In return, Morris pointed him at MI’s dressing room just after taking his wicket.
