The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the latest edition of the Men’s ODI rankings and the T20I rankings. As expected, Kohli and Hasaranga leapt forward with their exceptional performances at the Asia Cup whereas Australian veteran Steve Smith was rewarded for his exemplary performance against New Zealand.

Virat Kohli has been the talk of the town after he finally smashed an international century after three years. Kohli gathered 276 runs in five matches at the Asia Cup which helped him to climb 14 spots to the 15th position in Men’s T20I Batting rankings.

Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga also gained a significant lead after his stunning performance that helped Sri Lanka to lift the Asian triumph. Hasaranga scalped nine wickets in the tournament and jumped to sixth place in the bowling rankings and fourth on the all-rounder’s rankings.

In a breakthrough for Bangladesh skipper Shakib-Al-Hasan, the veteran all-rounder has been crowned as the No. 1 all-rounder in Men’s T20I All-Rounder rankings. He overtook Afghanistan’s Mohammed Nabi by a mere two points and has a current rating of 286.

Other major movers in the T20I Batting rankings were KL Rahul who scaled seven spots to the 27th position and Bhanukq Rajapaksa who climbed 34 spots to the 34th position. Pakistani batsman Mohammed Rizwan maintains his top spot whereas South African batsman Aiden Markram has jumped over Babar Azam to the second position.

Indian pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was up four spots to the seventh position whereas the Pakistani duo of Rauf and Nawaz climbed nine and seven spots to the 25th and 34th position respectively in Men’s T20I Bowling rankings.

In the ODI circuit, the Australians gained significantly after a 3-0 victory against New Zealand. Steve Smith was the leading run scorer with 167 runs in three matches that helped him to jump 13 places to the 10th position whereas Mitchell Starc has moved up by three places to the 9th position. Kiwi paceman Trent Boult maintains his top position after his 10 spectacular wickets in the series.

Movement in the Test rankings was limited to the deciding test match between England and South Africa. English batsman Ollie Pope scalped 17 spots to the 29th position in batting rankings whereas Proteas paceman Macro Jansen was up by eight spots to the 26th position in Test bowler rankings.
