The International Cricket Council (ICC) has collaborated with South African rapper and singer Rouge, who is highly renowned for her hit singles such as Mbongo-Zaka and Dololo, to compose the official anthem for the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup, which is titled “Turn it Up.” Rouge is the recipient of multiple awards for her music, including a Grammy Award. The announcement of this news has brought an additional level of anticipation to the next ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023.

The Women’s Twenty20 World Cup will be held in South Africa the year after next, making it one of the most significant athletic events for female athletes to take place on the African continent. For the first time ever, the tournament will take place on African soil, and a total of nine countries, including the defending champion Australia as well as Bangladesh, England, Ireland, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies, will compete in it.
