The ICC on Thursday released the women’s latest T20I rankings after the culmination of T20I series between Australia and NZ. Australia won the series by 2-1 as they marked a strong return to the international cricket post COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, the White Ferns finally registered their first win after Amelia Kerr and bowlers guided them to a five-wicket victory.

Australian skipper Meg Lanning and all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner made it into the latest MRF T20I rankings after their good run with the bat.

Gardner finished with 90 runs at a strike rate of 145.16, including the match-winning fifty in the first match of the series. She achieved her career-best 18th place in the latest women’s batting rankings.

From White Ferns, Suzie Bates and current skipper Sophie Devine retain top spots with second and fourth place respectively.

Their star performer in the third T20I, Amelia Kerr retained her fourth position in the bowlers’ rankings. Talking about the Teams’ rankings, Australia, England and New Zealand remain at the top three.

Australia and New Zealand will now engage in the three-match ODI series starting October 3.
