In a major breakthrough for the organizer’s committee of the UAE-based International League T-20 (ILT20), frontline cricketers from leading nations including Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Ireland and Zimbabwe have been roped in to participate in the inaugural edition. Evolving cricketers from associate nations including Netherlands, Nepal, Namibia and USA will also feature in the cash-rich championship.

The organizers of ILT20 released an extended list of spectacular T-20 players across the globe. Notably, the organizers have been successful in convincing mega stars from Australia and South Africa, though it is clashing with their traditional domestic leagues i.e the Big Bash League and the CSA T-20 Tournament. No Pakistani player has been added to the list for the consecutive time.

The biggest global names have been inducted into the latest list of players for the ILT20. Thunderous Australian opening batsman Chris Lynn has agreeably joined the league skipping his native Big Bash League. Caribbean powerhouses including Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Evin Lewis, Fabian Allen, Akeal Hosein, and Rovman Powell are also in the fray.

English cricketers Dawid Malan, Tom Curran, Sam Billings, Alex Hales and Chris Jordan have also added value to the prestigious championship. Sri Lankan all-rounders Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera and wicketkeeper-batsman Bhanuma Rajapaksa have also agreed to be a part of the novel T-20 league.

Other prominent players who have been named in the latest list are Lahiru Kumara, Seekugge Prassanna, Charith Asalanka, Liam Davson, Colin Ingram, Paul Stirling, Kennar Lewis, Ali Khan, Brandon Glover, Ravi Rampaul, Raymon Reifer, Isuru Udana, Blessing Muzarabani, Niroshan Dickwella.

Splendid players from associate nations include Hazaratullah Zazai, Frederick Klassen, Sikandar Raja, George Munsey, Dan Lawrence, Dominic Drakes, Jamie Overton, David Wiese, Qais Ahmed, Richard Gleeson, James Vince, Noor Ahmed, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Navin Ul Haq, Sherfane Rutherford, Saqib Mahmood, Ben Duckett, Benny Howell and Ruben Trumpelman.

The inaugural edition of the ILT20 is set to kick start on 6th January and will continue till 13th February. Many Indian conglomerates have bought franchises in the league including Reliance Industries, Adani Sportsline, GMR and Kolkata Knight Riders. Global entities Lancer Capital and Capri Global are the other two franchises that will foster the league with their franchises.
