IND vs AUS Live Score: After losing the first T20I, India roared back with two back-to-back wins and, thereby, won the series 2-1 on Sunday. Ahead of the start of the third T20I, the series was levelled at 1-1.
The third T20I turned out to be a last-over thriller with India winning the game by 6 wickets. Skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. Cameron Green, once again, gave the team a sensational start even as Finch got out cheaply.
Green tore apart the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Bumrah as Australia raced to the 50-run mark in just four overs. Once he was there, it looked like Australia would reach a 200-plus total.
However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar brought India back into the game as he removed Green on the last ball of the fifth over. The Australian all-rounder departed after scoring 52 runs in just 21 balls. India chipped in with crucial wickets in the middle-order as India, at one stage, were 117 for 6 with Wade also back to the hut.
However, Tim David then exhibited a display of power-hitting as he played a crucial knock of 54 runs in just 27 balls, including 2 fours and 4 sixes. Daniel Smash also made a valuable contribution of 28 runs in 20 balls as Australia managed to score 186 runs at the end of the first innings.
In response to that, India lost both the openers inside the power play at the score of 30 for 2. India needed a good partnership to steady the ship and it came from Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.
Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav stitched 104-run partnership
The duo joined hands and stitched a game-changing 104-run partnership. Boundaries came from both ends as the required rate never looked out of reach. Suryakumar Yadav, once again, showcased his array of shots as he blazed his way to 69 runs in 36 balls, including 5 fours and 5 sixes.
Virat Kohli, on the other hand, continues his fine form with the bat as he played a stellar knock of 63 runs in 48 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes. Despite those knocks, India needed 22 off the last overs. It later came down to 11 needed in the final over.
Virat Kohli then hit a six but got out on the next ball. Needing 4 off 2 deliveries, Hardik Pandya sliced one to send it for a boundary. India, as a result, won the game by 4 wickets and, thereby, bagged the series 2-1.
