IND vs BAN 1st Test: The Indian bowlers were made to toil hard by the Bangladesh openers in the first session of Day 4 in the ongoing Test match between the two teams.
India couldn’t pick a single wicket in the first session of the day as the opening pair of Zakir Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto had stitched an unbeaten 119-run partnership for the opening wicket.
The duo played with an aggressive intent while also respecting the good deliveries. The Indian bowlers couldn’t create many chances on a wicket which was pretty slow.
However, the Indians fought back after lunch and looked dangerous with the ball. Umesh Yadav broke the opening stand as he drew an edge from Shanto, followed by a sensational catch from Pant.
The southpaw departed after scoring 67 runs in 156 balls. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav then came into their act, picking one wicket each. Axar Patel rattled Yasir Ali’s stumps while coming around the wicket in the 50th over to help the team pick the second wicket of the day.
Litton Das then joined hands with Zakir Hasan as the duo added 41 runs for the third wicket. Kuldeep, eventually, broke the partnership as Litton Das’ half-hearted chip went straight to the man at long-on.
