IND vs BAN: India and Bangladesh are all set to lock horns with each other in the first ODI of the three-match series on 4th December 2022. Senior players such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will be making their return after having rested for the New Zealand tour.

Shikhar Dhawan continues to retain his place in the ODI side, while Hardik Pandya has been rested. Besides, the likes of Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer to name a few keep their spots as well.

The omission of Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav was a talking point but team India should look to win the series from here on. Talking about the all-rounders, the presence of Washington Sundar and Axar Patel should keep the team in good stead.

Ahead of the start of the first ODI, India has been dealt with a big blow as M Shami has been ruled out of the series with a hand injury. Young fast bowler, Umran Malik has replaced him in the squad. He will share the fast bowling duties alongside Siraj and Deepak Chahar.

As for the Bangladesh team, skipper Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out of the series, while Taskin Ahmed has been sidelined for the first ODI because of the first ODI.

The left-arm seamer, Shariful Islam has replaced him in the squad, while Litton Das will be leading the side in the absence of Tamim. Bangladesh will be depending on senior lads such as Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah to do the bulk of the scoring. Wicket-keeper batter, Mushfiqur Rahim, who has retired from T20Is, will look to get some runs under his belt.

As for the bowling department, Mustafizur Rahman will remain in the spotlight alongside the likes of Ebadot Hossain and Hasan Mahmud.
