IND vs SA 1st T20I: India and South Africa are all set to play a three-match T20I series, starting tomorrow. The first match is slated to be played on Wednesday at Greenfield International Stadium. The Men in Blue have only this T20I series left before they depart to Australia to play the highly awaited T20 World Cup 2022.

Rohit Sharma and Co. will look to address all their concerns in the upcoming three T20 internationals. In the absence of Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel has stepped up to the occasion. He was the Man of the series in the recently concluded T20I series against Australia.

The Indian all-rounder would be looking to carry on his good form. He will be one of the players to watch out for. The batting unit would look more or less same. But with Hardik Pandya resting, it could be a possibility that both Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik make it into the playing XI.

As for the bowling department, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been rested, while Arshdeep Singh makes his way back. The latter is likely to play all the matches in the series. Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah should be the other two seamers. In the spin department, Ravichandran Ashwin, who is in the World Cup squad, might get some games to play. He might replace Chahal in the first T20I.

Facing them are South Africa, who are a solid team in the shortest format. The batters are in absolute peach form. The likes of Hendricks, Klaasen and Rassie Van der Dussen to name a few are in top form. The batting unit, certainly, has the potential to chase any total on their day.

With the ball, Lungi Ngidi and Tabraiz Shamsi have picked the most wickets for South Africa in T20 internationals this year. Ngidi is likely to share the fast bowling duties alongside Rabada and Anrich Nortje.
