IND vs SA 3rd T20I Live Score: Rishabh Pant and Co. made an outstanding comeback in the 3rd ODI as they beat South Africa by 48 runs on Tuesday to keep the series alive. With that win, India’s hopes of winning the series are still alive and kicking. Rishabh Pant, once again, lost the game, and India was asked to bat first. But this time around, Ruturaj Gaikwad didn’t disappoint.

He stitched a valuable 97-run partnership for the opening wicket with Ishan Kishan to give the team an ideal start. Gaikwad smashed five successive fours to Anrich Nortje to get himself going and didn’t look back, thereafter. Ishan Kishan, on the other hand, was happily playing as a second fiddle. Gaikwad got out after scoring 57 runs in 35 balls.

Kishan also changed gears after some time and went all guns blazing. He notched his second half-century of the series. However, India’s run-flow took a beating after the first half. The likes of Shreyas Iyer (14 off 11) and Rishabh Pant (6 off 8), once again, couldn’t live up to the expectations. But Hardik Pandya’s (31 off 21) finishing touches meant India managed to score 179 runs at the end of the first innings.

For South Africa, Pretorious was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 for 29 in 4 overs. In pursuit of the score, South Africa didn’t make a great start, thanks to a superb opening spell from Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

The senior Indian fast bowler showed an exhibition of swing bowling in his first two overs and denied Temba Bavuma score runs early. In the first six overs, South Africa had lost 2 wickets for just 38 runs.

Yuzvendra Chahal then ran South Africa’s middle-order, picking the wickets of Rassie van der Dussen, Pretorius, and Klaasen. South Africa, lost half of their side for just 71 runs in 11 overs. Wickets kept falling thereafter and the Temba Bavuma and Co. were bundled out for just 131 runs in the end.

The fourth T20 international is slated to be played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on 17th June 2022.
