India vs England: After winning the T20 series, India will lock horns with England in a three-match T20I series against England. The first ODI is scheduled to be played on Tuesday at Kennington Oval in London.

India

Rohit Sharma and Co. bagged a 2-1 victory in the T20 series and would be looking to replicate a similar result in the ODIs as well. Shikhar Dhawan will be back playing international cricket. He should open the innings alongside Rohit Sharma. The series will also be a chance for Virat Kohli to turn his fortunes around. It will also be interesting to see who fills KL Rahul’s spot in the middle order.

Hardik Pandya will make his return in the ODIs alongside Mohammad Shami and Siraj. Arshdeep Singh has been added to the squad and it will be interesting to see if he gets to make his debut in the series.

Probable Playing XI

Rohit Sharma (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal

England

England will be led by a new captain in Jos Buttler in the ODIs. He didn’t have a great outing as captain in the T20I series but would be looking to make a stronger comeback in ODIs. The ODI series will also mark the return of Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes and Joe Root. This will only strengthen the batting unit and England would be confident of posting big scores on the board.

The bowling unit is likely to remain the same. The likes of Mark Wood, Jofra Archer, Woakes etc. continue to miss out due to injury.

Probable Playing XI

Jos Buttler (wk & c), Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Liam Livingstone, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Craig Overton, David Willey, Matt Parkinson, Reece Topley
