To keep track of all the betting irregularities during the IPL 2020, the BCCI has approached Sportradar Integrity Services to supervise these activities.

The board signed an agreement with the leading sports integrity solutions and sports data products supplier on Thursday. Sportradar will provide assistance to the Anti-Corruption Unit of the national cricket governing body. They will also provide a risk assessment to BCCI by intelligence and data-driven insights.

Sportradar will monitor all the matches of the 13th edition of the IPL that is going to be hosted in UAE this year. The tournament will get rolling from 19th September with the blockbuster opening match between defending champions Mumbai Indians and one of the most sought after franchises Chennai Super Kings at Abu Dhabi.

Commenting on the agreement, Sportradar Integrity Services’ Managing Director Andreas Krannich said, “It is an honour to partner with the BCCI for the 2020 IPL season. As the global leader in sporting integrity, we hope to provide our expertise and help protect the tournament against integrity-related issues. We know that the BCCI takes integrity seriously, and we look forward to working alongside them throughout the tournament and providing our support to their integrity program.”

Mona Motwani, Sportradar Integrity Services consultant, said that it would be challenging to oversee such a tournament. Motwani said that overseeing a multi-team tournament is way more challenging than covering a bilateral series.
