IPL 2021 Schedule: All fixtures, match timings, venue, other details

IPL 2021 Schedule for Phase 2: After getting shelved midway due to the rising cases of COVID-19 positive players within the bio-bubble, the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is all set to resume from September 19 in Abu Dhabi.

The tournament is set to restart with a blockbuster opening match between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in Dubai. It will then be followed by the game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Abu Dhabi.

There will be a total of seven double-headers where all the teams will get to play at least one afternoon game. The afternoon games are slated for a 3:30 PM IST to start while the evening games will start at 7:30 PM IST.

UAE has been chosen as the venue for IPL for the second time after hosting a successful thirteenth edition of the game in 2020.

Taking a look back at the points table, Delhi Capitals are at the top of the table, followed by Chennai Super Kings in the second spot and Royal Challengers Bangalore completing the top three at the third spot. IPL 2020 Champions Mumbai Indians stand fourth, followed by Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings in the fifth and the sixth positions, respectively. Kolkata Knight Riders (seventh) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (eighth) are languishing at the bottom.
