The openers, Rituraj Gaekwad and Faf du Plessis have given great starts to the team. Their partnerships have been crucial in setting up `wins for them. Faf du Plessis is the third-highest run-getter in the tournament. He has 270 runs to his name in 6 games. Moeen Ali has proved to be a great asset to the team. The move to send him at three is doing wonders for the team. The depth in CSK’s batting would benefit them against a solid MI bowling attack.
Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have blown hot and cold in the tournament. They won their last game against RR to register their third win in the tournament. They are currently sitting at fourth on the points table. They would be keen to beat CSK and earn two more point
Ishan Kishan missed out in the last game and it remains to be seen if he gets back into the eleven. Quinton de Kock’s return to form would be a big positive for them. Besides, the likes of Hardik and Pollard has to come good on Friday.
